significant embarrassment and frustration in my life. Like always failing my P.E examinations, like always being laughed at by girls, like being terrified to speak in public. Today I am very glad to be here to share with you my ideas of success. What is success? It is what everyone is longing times success would be rather simple. Winning a game is success; getting a high grade in the exam is success; making a new friend is success; even now I am
standing here giving my speech is somehow also success.
However, as a person’s whole life is concerned, success becomes very
complicated. Is fortune success? Is fame success? Is high social status success? No, I don’t think so. I believe success is the realization of people’s hopes and days, in the modern society there are many people
who are regarded as the successful. And the most obvious characteristics of hem are money, high position and luxurious life. So most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. But the problem is wether it is real success. We all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. If we keep chasing them, where is the end? What will satisfy us at last? Therefore, we can see, to get the real Success we must need something inside, which is the realization ofpeople’ hopes and ideals.
Different people have different ideas about success; cause people’s hopes and ideas vary from one another. But I am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. These are the best treasures. So now I am very proud that I have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. It is my success, cause I raise up to challenge my hope.

The East and the West, Let’s enjoy the combination of the two cultures? Kipling said:“East is east, and west is west, and never the twain shall meet!” But now, a century later, they have met.
They have met in business. They have met in education. They have met in the arts. Some people will argue that these meetings will leave us with a choice between east and west, but I believe that the best future lies in the creative combination of both worlds. We can make western ideas, customs and technology our own, and adapt them to our own use. We can enjoy the best of both worlds, because our tradition is, above all, one of selecting the best and making it our own.
I love Beijing and Hennan opera because it always reminds me of who I am. But I am also a fan of pop music, especially English songs. So I have combined eastern melody with western language. It is called western henna opera.
When two cultures meet, there may be things in one culture, which do not fit into the tradition of the other. When this happens, we need to learn to understand and respect the customs of another culture. Then there are certain things some people may not like. To this, I will say, if you do not like it, please try to tolerate it. To learn to tolerate what you personally don’t like is a great virtue at a time when different cultures mix and merge. 快乐不是家财万贯、富甲天下;快乐不是高高在上，所有人对你山呼万岁。那么快乐究竟是什么呢?我认为快乐是自己经过努力，靠自己的力量来获得成功。而这个结论是我在今天下午，这个烈日炎炎的时刻中体会到的。
不愧是七月盛夏，杂草抵挡不住烈日的烘烤;耸拉着脑袋，柳叶打着卷儿，没有一丝精神;连林子里的小鸟也张着嘴巴，歇在树上，懒得再出去觅食了。在这样闷热的午后，人也总是特别容易疲惫，老是一副懒洋洋的样子，昏昏沉沉地，不想动弹。
这时，屋子里的我正在全神贯注地攻克着一道很难很难的奥数题：有若干大于0的自然数，平均数是10，如果去掉最大的一个，余下的平均数为9;如果去掉最小的一个余下的平均数为11。这些数最多有几个?最大的是多少?唉，这道该死的题目，已经足足花了我二十分钟了。不管是用算术方法，还是x方程，都没有一点思路。它就像顽固真菌一样，根深蒂固，无论用什么办法也不能解决它。我的草稿纸上密密麻麻地布满了我打的草稿。我可真想放弃，可这早晚要做。于是，我又埋头做了起来，非把这道难题做出来不可……啊，我做出来了，“有10个数，最大的数是19。”真是皇天不负有心人。做出了这道题，我感到了前所未有的快乐，因为这是经过我自己努力换来的成绩。我喜欢这样的快乐，它不是中了500万大奖，也不是天上掉下馅饼，它是平凡的，可它却给我无穷无尽的快乐。 快乐是什么?如果有人这样问我，我会告诉他，“快乐是自己努力的果实!”
