同学们，谈到父亲节，我们应当知道它的由来。
19xx年，居住在华盛顿的布鲁斯。多德夫人，在庆贺母亲节时产生了一个念头：既然有个母亲节，为什么不能有个父亲节呢?
多德夫人和他的5个弟弟早年丧母，是由父亲一手抚养大的。多少年过去了，姐弟6人每逢父亲的生辰忌日，总回忆慈父含辛茹苦养家的情景。在拉斯马斯博士的支持下，她提笔给州政府写了一封言辞恳切的信，呼吁建立父亲节，并建议将节日定在6月5日她父亲生日这天。州政府采纳了她的建议，仓促间将父亲节定为19日，即19xx年6月第3个星期日。第2年，多德夫人所在的斯坡堪市正式庆祝这一节日，市长宣布了父亲节的文告，定这天为全州纪念日。以后，其他州也庆贺父亲节。在父亲节这天，人们选择特定的鲜花来表示对父亲的敬意。人们采纳了多德夫人的建议，佩戴红玫瑰向健在的父亲们表示爱戴，佩戴白玫瑰对故去的父亲表示悼念。后来在温哥华，人们选择了佩戴白丁香，宾夕法尼亚人用蒲公英向父亲表示致意。为了使父亲节法律化，各方面强烈呼吁议会承认这个节日。1972年，尼克松总统正式签署了建立父亲节的议会决议。这个节日以法律形式定下来。
同学们，这个节日虽然是由外国人率先设立的，但它表达了全世界人民对父亲的尊敬和对长辈的爱戴，因此，我们也应当记住这样的节日。

其实，在人类爱的长河里，父爱和母爱同样伟大。同学们不妨仔细想一想。在你懵懂的记忆里，是谁整日里用宽大的手掌撑起你，是谁用粗硬的胡须亲昵你，是谁用厚实的肩膀驮着你，又是谁整天跪在地上让你尽享骑马的乐趣?是父亲，正是那无私无畏的父亲。如果说母爱如水，柔美细腻、源远流长;那么父爱一定如山，粗旷豁达、气吞江海。难怪人们选择一年之中阳光最炽热的6月来过父亲节，原来它蕴含着的是父亲给予子女的最真挚、最火热的爱。
大家回顾一下自己的成长历程，教我们坚强、教我们自立、教我们树雄心立大志的一定是父亲，从这个意义上说，父爱如山。父亲是勇气和力量的源泉，是希望和信心的化身。尤其在做人，求学的岁月里，他留给我们的是坚强和忍耐、如同巨石山峰，能抵挡住风雨的洗礼，雷电的怒吼，波涛的汹涌。无论春夏秋冬，不管天南海北，我们在哪儿，父爱就延伸到那里。父爱还是一片宁静的港湾，当我们失落时，他能给予我们信心，勇气和力量;父爱更是一本书，当我们长大以后，再次打开它，一定会读懂父亲那颗最深沉、最热烈的心。
母爱有声、父爱无言，父爱可能就藏在愤怒的呵斥中，也可能藏在打你的巴掌里，无论它藏在哪里，我们一定要理解父亲那深沉的爱啊!
